Before midnight, every Israelite household prepared to leave.
They ate the Passover meal with their sandals on and marked their doorposts with blood. When judgment passed through Egypt, the marked homes were spared. Pharaoh finally ordered Israel to depart with their families, flocks, and herds.
After 430 years in Egypt, Israel walked out—but Pharaoh’s decision would not last.
📖 Inspired by Exodus 12:1–42
